Migrants march through North Port

Members of the Coalition of Immokalee Workers march through North Port Wednesday on their way to Lakeland, where they will stage a protest in front of the Publix Headquarters. The CIW is demanding that migrant workers are paid one cent more per pound for all tomatoes that are picked. They chanted slogans of freedom as they marched in front of the Publix at Cocoplum Village Shoppes while headed north on U.S. 41.
