CHARLOTTE COUNTY — Although the annual Fit for Life Senior Games are about athletic competition, there is another side to the events that Charlotte County Parks and Recreation wants to focus on as well — the camaraderie and sportsmanship among the participants.

In their 13th year, the Senior Games begin Saturday and run through March 17 at various locations throughout Charlotte County. The Games are open to all amateur athletes 50 or older. Participants do not have to be residents of Charlotte County.
