Message in bottle just the beginning

Now 14, Frederique Schol of Zoersel, Belgium, was 12 when she dropped a bottle with a handwritten note into the waters off the coast of Florida in August 2010. The bottle was discovered at Cedar Point Park.

Volunteers at Cedar Point Environmental Park found this glass bottle with a message while cleaning up during the 2012 International Coastal Cleanup.

ENGLEWOOD — When volunteers picked up trash at Cedar Point Environmental Park in September, they found treasure — a message in bottle from a young European girl dated August 2010.
A couple more letters later, and the park has a new international pen pal.
