The owners of Bacon’s Furniture Store announced Friday the company will be closing its Furniture & Design of Sarasota store after being unable to purchase the 70,000-square-foot building located at 7557 S. Tamiami Trail.

The company, which has been serving the Sarasota and Port Charlotte area for more than 30 years, continues to operate two other area stores: Bacon’s Outdoor Living, 7522 Tamiami Trail, Sarasota; and Bacon’s Furniture, 17701 Murdock Circle, Port Charlotte.
