SARASOTA COUNTY — The beginning of the dispute-resolution process initiated by Sarasota County against the city of North Port over the Warm Mineral Springs Day Spa will take place with a conflict-assessment meeting March 13 in South Venice.

The meeting, which will be open to the public, will be between Sarasota County Administrator Randall Reid, North Port City Manager Jonathan Lewis and the county and city attorneys. The meeting is part of the process of the Florida Governmental Resolution Act, which eventually could lead to mediation between the two governments — and even legal action from the county toward the city — if a resolution on the Springs cannot be reached.
