Woman accused of animal cruelty

PUNTA GORDA — A Fort Myers woman was accused of leaving 10 cats and dogs in cages on a rural farm for over a month, according to the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office.
Cleo Atherly Fiore, 58, was charged Tuesday with 10 counts of animal cruelty and 10 counts of animal abandonment after she allegedly locked eight cats and two dogs in small crates and rabbit cages on a relative’s vacant property off Oil Well Road in Punta Gorda.
