A North Port woman dubbed “Black Widow” by authorities was willing to pay $8,000 for the murders of two men, and now is being eyed in the 2011 death of her former husband, according to a report released Wednesday by the Sarasota Police Department.

Janeene Lea Jones, 49, of the 2500 block of Beaver Lane, was charged with two counts of solicitation to commit first-degree murder in connection with the most recent incident. She was arrested at 1:35 p.m. Monday on the 1200 block of Toledo Blade Blvd.
