Bringing back music by the Beach Boys on Tuesday brought out more then a few hundred people to the Cultural Center of Charlotte County in Port Charlotte. The second “Season of the Stars,” presented by Celebrity Direct Entertainment, brought in musicians who had toured and recorded with the Beach Boys. The guys went on to form their own band, California Surf, playing old favorites such as “Good Vibrations,” “I Get Around,” “Surfin USA” and more that had the folks in the audience on their feet and dancing in the aisles. California Surf are, from left, on keyboards, Billy Hinsche; vocals and percussion, Matt Jardine; vocals and drums, Bobby Figueroa; vocals and guitar, Ed Carter; and vocals and guitar, Philip Bardowell.
