Tornado Watch expires
The National Weather Service’s Tornado Watch for Charlotte, Sarasota and DeSoto counties expired at 3 p.m. There were no reports of tornadoes in the area as a cold front moved through.
The forecast calls for high winds to continue, and the area remains under a “lake-effect wind advisory.” Another front is expected to move through the area this week, bringing temperatures to the low 70s. Temperatures are expected to dip to the lows in the 40s and even high 30s for some southwest Florida areas this weekend.
