PORT CHARLOTTE — Wil Myers will start in right field and bat seventh today in the Rays’ split-squad game against the Pirates at Charlotte Sports Park.

Myers is one of the most intriguing new faces for the Rays heading into their 35-game Grapefruit League schedule. He has drawn plenty of attention, though manager Joe Maddon did not see the outfield prospect take batting practice until Friday.
