PUNTA GORDA — A registered sex offender is accused of engaging in sex acts with an underage student at Edison State College Charlotte Campus, according to the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office.

Christopher David Cook, 42, of the 18400 block of Morrison Avenue, Port Charlotte, allegedly engaged in sex acts twice with a 17-year-old girl in July and August 2012. Both incidents occurred in Cook’s vehicle on school grounds, according to a sheriff’s report.
