Charlotte Chorale performs special concert

Composer Mark Hayes was the guest conductor for the Charlotte Chorale’s performance Sunday evening at Burnt Store Presbyterian Church in Punta Gorda. Here he performs on piano “Dry Bones,” a traditional spiritual. Hayes directed the chorale during several songs at the concert, including the world premier of his newest composition, “The Gettysburg Address.” He was commissioned to do the work by R. Bruce MacGregor, the chorale’s music director, who is retiring at the end of the season.
