ROTONDA WEST — Charlotte County Sheriff’s Narcotics Unit detectives, assisted by the Street Crimes Unit and road patrol, arrested three Rotonda West residents after a raid on their home on Annapolis Lane on Tuesday around 7 a.m. Arrested were Daniel Curtis Hood, 22; his girlfriend, Caitlyn Marie Christiano, 21; and her 26-year-old brother, Clifford Michael Christiano. The investigation began last December regarding narcotics activity at the home, and a search warrant was obtained and executed. During a search of the home, detectives seized a total of 2,830.2 grams of marijuana. The marijuana was found in large, vacuum sealed bags in and outside of cardboard boxes delivered by FedEx. Detectives said they were receiving marijuana via FedEx and several boxes were located in the home with empty vacuum sealed bags with marijuana residue. Marijuana stored in vacuum sealed bags is common for delivery. Also seized was $5,460 in cash, marijuana cigarettes, and five Pyrex pipes with marijuana residue. Narcotics detectives said the street value of the seized marijuana is valued at $35,000. The drug investigation continues.

All three were arrested and transported to the Charlotte County Jail. Hood and Caitlyn Christiano were both charged with sale and delivery of marijuana, possession of marijuana (1,874.2 grams), and possession of drug paraphernalia. Clifford Christiano was charged with sale and delivery of marijuana, possession of marijuana (956.2 grams), and possession of drug paraphernalia. All three posted $6,000 bond each and were released.
