PORT CHARLOTTE — For people with dementia, words can be hard to come by. Art, on the other hand, can often open doors in the mind that may have closed long ago.

That’s why the Arts & Humanities Council holds free workshops to help people learn how to use art therapy to help people with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia.
