CHARLOTTE COUNTY — The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office is inviting the public to attend its Celebrate Safe Communities 2013 event Feb. 14 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Charlotte Harbor Event & Conference Center in Punta Gorda. “This public event is to bring people together to make things better in Charlotte County,” said Dale Phillips, CCSO crime prevention specialist. “Please come to meet and greet your new sheriff, Bill Prummell, Charlotte County Commissioners, and representatives from various Charlotte County government offices.”

The public will also learn about CCSO’s local Neighborhood Watch Program, “the eyes and ears of the community,” and how to start a Neighborhood Watch program in your area.” CCSO’s community partners making this event possible are Walmart, Modern Woodmen, Buffalo Graffix, Gulfcoast Engraving & Awards, Phil’s Restaurant, T’s Plus, Chick-Fil-A, Florida Weekly, and Charlotte Harbor Event & Conference Center. The first 400 adults attending will receive a free gift. Please call Phillips at 941-258-3947 for more information, or email: dale.phillips@ccso.org.
