Gov. Rick Scott announced this week he will be including $480 million in his proposed 2013 budget, with the money earmarked toward $2,500 raises for all full-time K-12 teachers.

The amount will also include the cost of related expenses, but not new funds for support staff, although Scott indicated there will be additional money for them in his upcoming budget as well.
