ENGLEWOOD — Charlotte County Sheriff’s Narcotics Unit and the SWAT team raided an Englewood home in the 9300 block of Poplar Avenue on Wednesday and arrested three on multiple drug charges. Arrested were Jerry Lee Williams Jr., 28, and Marcus Quinton Farrior, 28, both of the Popular Avenue home, and Bruce Veonzal Singleton, 27, of Sarasota. Based on intelligence information, CCSO narcotics detectives obtained a search warrant and served it at 7 p.m. Upon entry, all three were brought outside the home while a search was conducted. Singleton had $650 cash in his pocket and $3,000 more was found rolled up under a mattress in the bedroom where he was staying. They also found three plastic baggies of cocaine and some loose marijuana. In the bedroom where Williams was staying they found a plastic baggie with cocaine and numerous small plastic baggies commonly used to package narcotics. A search of his Chevrolet SUV found Williams’ wallet containing $1,900 cash.

A search of Farrior’s bedroom found a shoebox containing a plastic baggie with 3.9 grams of marijuana. Three smoked joints and a baggie with marijuana residue were found on the back porch and marijuana on the dining room table. Detectives also seized three counter-surveillance cameras believed used with the sale of narcotics. Forfeiture paperwork was served on both Williams and Singleton. Williams remains in the Charlotte County Jail on no bond because of a probation violation. Farrior posted a $2,000 bond, and Singleton posted $4,500 and they were released.
