NORTH PORT — Despite concerns it may be closed to research by the University of Miami, which owns the site near the intersection of Price and Glenallen boulevards, members of the Friends of Little Salt Spring group met Tuesday night and discussed how they can continue to help support the Spring.
“We weren’t sure of what our turnout would be tonight,” said Linda Ferrier-Reid, the group’s recording secretary. “But we figured Little Salt Spring still needs friends.”
