NORTH PORT — After serving as interim director of the North Port Art Center for several months, this month Sandi Hilliard was appointed director for the next year.

“When our director left last April, I said I would fill in for a few months until they could hire somebody,” Hilliard said. “They like me well enough to keep me.”
