A look at the methamphetamine found inside of a baby shoe following a traffic stop on New Year's Eve, Monday. According to Charlotte County Sheriff's Office spokesman Bob Carpenter, 42.3 grams of meth and cash were seized in the arrest.
PORT CHARLOTTE — A New Year’s Eve traffic stop led to the arrest of three people on drug charges, but it was the methamphetamine allegedly found inside a baby’s shoe that really caught the attention of authorities, according to the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office.
Arrested in connection with the incident were Dodie Allyson Albritton, 20, of the 9100 block of S.W. Raccoon Trail, Arcadia; Manuel Angel Rolon, 41, of the 300 block of Fortuna Road, Arcadia; and Bret Alexander Rule, 29, of Myakka City, Fla. Rolon and Albritton both were charged with trafficking in methamphetamine, child neglect and possession of drug paraphernalia. Rolon additionally was charged with driving with a suspended license. Rule was charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
