Students join ‘Nutcracker’ cast at Van Wezel

SARASOTA COUNTY — Local ballet students will join the Moscow Ballet Sunday in two performances of the “Great Russian Nutcracker” at the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall in Sarasota.
Maya Martinez of Englewood and Marissa Frazer of North Port will join a cast of 40 Moscow Ballet dancers in a variation of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s holiday classic.
