PUNTA GORDA —
For more than 60 years, Richard Porcelli has been a stamp collector. Although he never served, the Punta Gorda resident has close ties with the military. His wife Carolyn lost her cousin, Army Pfc. David Antol, while he was stationed in South Vietnam.

“When the news of David’s death arrived in December 1967, it changed our lives quite a bit,” Porcelli said. “He was killed when the helicopter he was in went down. My wife and I wanted to do something to honor him.”
