Local man
to be featured
in assisted
suicide program
The right-to-die movement will take center stage tonight when an episode of “Frontline” examines the pros and cons of the controversial subject of assisted suicide, an episode in which a local man will feature prominently.
Punta Gorda resident Ted Goodwin founded the Final Exit Network to create an organization that focuses on providing guidance and support to individuals suffering from an incurable illness. The organization came under fire recently in Georgia and Arizona when authorities there filed criminal charges against Goodwin and other Final Exit volunteers, saying they assisted in two suicides.
