Karyn Gary’s victory in the DeSoto County school superintendent race means Charlotte County Technical Center will be without a director until district officials can find a replacement. Gary defeated incumbent Adrian Cline, a 25-year veteran of the job, on Tuesday.
Gary has been employed by Charlotte County Public Schools for 10 years, and has been the director of the CTC in Port Charlotte for the last three years. Gary said the job posting has already been written and will be advertised this week, adding that the district is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position.
