Brooks Paxton, Boca Grande Chamber Director Lew Hastings and Sean Paxton stand at Boca Grande Pass where tarpon reside. The Paxton brothers and chamber worked on a short film that identifies the importance of tarpon to the area.
Sean and Brooks Paxton of North Port believe in practical conservation, as their short film, “Rich History…Priceless Future — the Tarpon of Boca Grande Pass” shows.
The 6.5-minute film might be better described as a prequel for a planned documentary on Boca Grande’s World’s Richest Tarpon Tournament and the importance of protecting tarpon as a resource. The Boca Grande Area Chamber of Commerce is now looking for funding so the trailer can
be developed
into a documentary.
