PUNTA GORDA — Melissa Bailey, the woman found guilty in August of sexually abusing her infant daughter more than three years ago, was sentenced to two concurrent life sentences on Friday by 20th Judicial Circuit Judge John Duryea at the Charlotte County Justice Center.

Facing six total charges, she received life sentences for two counts of sexual battery on a victim younger than 12, and one count of lewd or lascivious molestation. For the charges of lewd or lascivious exhibition, possession of child pornography and use of a child in a sexual performance, Bailey received roughly 35 additional years in prison.
