SARASOTA COUNTY — More than 50 vendors who do business with Sarasota County or would like to, gave input on how the county can better work with local companies, including what constitutes a local vendor.

County officials invited vendors to a workshop Friday on the local vendor preferences ordinance, which will be part of the overhauled Procurement Code.
