FORT MYERS — Twenty-three representatives of Gulf Coast counties affected by the 2010 BP oil spill will meet Monday afternoon in Tallahassee to discuss how billions in fines will be distributed.

The 23 counties make up the Gulf Consortium, which is part of the Resources and Ecosystem Stainability, Tourist Opportunities and Revived Economies Act, also known as the RESTORE Act. The consortium aims to direct a share of the fines as a result of the oil spill to the affected areas, county officials said.
