NORTH PORT — North Port and Port Charlotte’s marathon match Wednesday night ended when the Pirates’ Courtney Robertson slammed down a kill.
Port Charlotte (10-10) won 21-25, 25-14, 23-25, 25-18, 15-13. The final game was close all the way with several lead changes. The score was tied at 12 before the Pirates took a 13-12 edge. The teams traded points before Robertson, a junior, hit the winner. She finished with 18 kills.
