The Charlotte Harbor Parrot Head Club, a nonprofit organization that refers to itself as Angels in Tropical Shirts, held its monthly meeting Tuesday at the Moose Lodge 2121 in Port Charlotte. The group presented a check for $10,000 to Yah Yah Girls director Jolene Mowry for the Charlotte County Back Pack Kidz program that will deliver 1,200 backpacks filled with nonperishable food to six elementary schools on a weekly basis.
