Author reveals Florida’s little-known history

Author Robert Macomber held a seminar about Florida's involvement in the Civil War at Florida Gulf Coast University's Herald Court Centre in Punta Gorda Tuesday.

PUNTA GORDA — In the midst of writing his first book, Robert N. Macomber was sipping rum on the porch of his home on Matlacha Island looking out over Serenity Bay and shooting the breeze with fellow novelist Randy Wayne White.
“How are you doing on the book?” White asked.
