PORT CHARLOTTE — Charlotte County Sheriff’s detectives solved three more Port Charlotte home burglaries with the arrest of two men Tuesday. Arrested were Jordan Simon Johnson, 22, of the 25900 block of Aysen Drive, Deep Creek, and Joshua Roy Robinson, 22, of the 4600 block of Washington Boulevard, Sarasota. A home in the 200 block of Northview Street, Port Charlotte, was broken into twice, on May 1 and May 2. The other was on May 6 in the 400 block of Birchcrest Boulevard, Port Charlotte. In the Northview Street home on May 1, a laptop computer, a handgun, a shotgun and $170 in loose change were stolen. The next day, a small safe, two shotguns, a handgun, jewelry and $1,000 cash were stolen. In the May 6 burglary, a rear window was smashed to gain entry and a small safe, jewelry and $3,000 in cash were stolen. CCSO Crime Scene lifted a fingerprint from broken glass, and on June 25 it was positively identified as belonging to Robinson.

Johnson and Robinson were arrested Tuesday at the Charlotte County Jail, on six felony charges each. Johnson has been in the jail since Sept. 6 on previous multiple charges relating to theft. Johnson and Robinson reportedly would break into houses daily to support their drug habits. Detectives continue their investigations and more charges are expected to be filed in these and other home burglary cases.
