Charlotte SWAT members carry a dummy "hostage" across the finish line Saturday afternoon during the 10th annual Southwest Florida SWAT challenge held at Knight's Trail Park in Nokomis. More than 300 people were in attendance, including 105 SWAT officers from six regional counties as well as a team from the FBI. Approximately $5,000 in proceeds from the event will be donated to Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranch. Thirteen teams competed against one another in four challenging courses that included hostage rescue, shooting, obstacle courses and zip-lining. More photos on page 10.
