Cobb, Moore give Rays youthful boost

ST. PETERSBURG — Alex Cobb took to the mound Tuesday for the Tampa Bay Rays in his first major league start in the month of September. He had a good August; his four wins that month tied for the American League lead.
To begin the last full month of the season, he allowed two runs in seven innings to help the Rays stay close to the Yankees and Orioles in the American League East.
