ST. PETERSBURG—Rays manager Joe Maddon has a pretty good idea about his team’s offensive identity.
“We’re not going to bludgeon you to death as an offense,” he said before Tuesday’s game against the Yankees. “We’ve never done that. We can get on a nice little roll, though. We can hit homers.”
