The end of July marked the end of an era for First Baptist Church Arcadia when its long-time pastor, the Rev. Richard J. Englert, retired.

Rev. Englert announced his plans to retire in May. Church members were sad to lose their beloved pastor, who had served a total of 23 years there, but were happy for Englert and his wife, Elizabeth.
