Watch for extreme heat, rip currents this weekend

An elevated risk of rip currents is expected along portions of Florida’s Gulf coast, and temperatures are expected to rise throughout the state this holiday weekend, according to the Florida Division of Emergency Management.
Beachgoers are urged to use caution.
