PUNTA GORDA — A written response released by City Manager Howard Kunik on Friday addressed allegations made by former Punta Gorda Police Department spokeswoman Christy Feinberg that she was forced to resign from her job due to sexual harassment.

Kunik wrote that since the city previously had declined to comment on the matter, its silence was being taken as an admission of guilt, when instead it was following city policy not to comment on pending legal matters.
