PORT CHARLOTTE — Within the past month, Charlotte County code officers have seized as many as 100 political signs because they were placed on public property in violation of the county’s political sign code.

The candidates whose signs have been seized range from “A” for Joe Arnold, candidate for U.S. Congressional District 17, to “Z” for Mark Zehr, candidate for tax collector, said Erin Mullen-Travis, county code enforcement manager.
