Sapp, Prummell best funded in sheriff race
Former Sheriff Glen Sapp and current sheriff’s Capt. Bill Prummell lead fundraising efforts among the candidates for Charlotte County sheriff, with just a few dollars separating their campaign war chests, according to the Charlotte County Supervisor of Elections website.
Sapp has collected more than $44,000, while Prummell’s haul so far is $43,995. Frank Rubino sits third in the money race with $39,211, while Ed Pope’s fundraising efforts total $24,917 to date.
