NORTH PORT — The Friends of the North Port Library are requesting donations of gently used books, audiobooks and puzzles. Items can be dropped off at the library, 13800 S. Tamiami Trail, North Port, between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. every day but Sunday. There are also drop boxes available at all the Publix supermarkets.

Books donated will be sold in the Friends bookstore and at the volunteer group’s book sales held in April, August and December. Proceeds go to fund literacy, programs, services and equipment for the North Port Library. Large donations can be picked up by calling Charlotte at 941-429-2207.
