PUNTA GORDA — A lawyer for the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office told jurors in the Denise Amber Lee civil trial Wednesday that 911 call-takers cannot make deputies listen to their radios or dispatch them to moving vehicles.

Attorney Bruce Jolly also objected to the response from Denise’s widower, Nathan Lee, on why he was suing the Sheriff’s Office for wrongful death of his 21-year-old wife: He said Denise’s murder could have been prevented by the CCSO on Jan. 17, 2008.
