State gets evidence extension in Bush case
BUSH
PUNTA GORDA — The state of Florida was granted 30 additional days on Tuesday to examine what it considers the key piece of evidence in the DUI hit-and-run case involving Tampa Bay Rays minor league pitcher Matt Bush.
Twentieth Judicial Circuit Judge John Duryea agreed to let state investigators keep the Dodge Durango SUV belonging to Bush’s teammate Brandon Guyer in order to complete their examination of the evidence. Guyer’s attorney, Sean Conahan, argued that the state has had ample time to gather any evidence it needed.
