ENGLEWOOD — Love is not necessarily in the air, but it’s definitely in local waters.
Kris Hleuka photographed a cluster of manatees Sunday in the Gulf off Sand Dollar Lane. The manatees spent much of Sunday courting in the shallows of Manasota Key. Kris’ husband, Jim, spotted them in the late afternoon, and the manatees remained until 7 p.m. or 8 p.m. Sunday, but were gone by Monday morning.
