Bob Vedder, whose career as general manager and publisher of the Venice Gondolier Sun, part of the Sun Coast Media Group, spanned more than 30 years before his retirement, was inducted Saturday into the Florida Press Association’s Newspaper Hall of Fame.
Vedder was honored along
with Stuart, Fla., newspaperman
Tom Weber at ceremonies that took place during the 2012 Southeastern Press Convention in Miramar Beach, Fla. The latest recognition by Vedder’s fellow publishers follows the 2010 presentation of a life membership in the organization.
