County projects lower gas tax revenue

SARASOTA COUNTY — Sarasota County is looking at a half-million-dollar loss in its gas tax revenues for fiscal year 2013, according to projections from the state Department of Revenue.
The Department of Revenue estimates the county will receive about $16 million in gas tax revenue from its unincorporated areas.
