A group of bicyclists cycled from Key West to Punta Groda recently, shown here on State Road 29 from Everglades City to Immokalee. It had wide shoulders and the truck drivers gave them plenty of room.

You can never pick where you will have a flat tire, but if you could, Krome Ave would not be the place. As can be seen here, a flat tire takes several people to change. Thankfully, Herald photojournalist Joan Keeney did not have any flat tires with her old faithful bike, Blu.
