Banquet recaps equestrian riders’ year in the saddle

The Punta Gorda Horseman’s Association’s 2011-12 end-of-season awards banquet was held at the Charlotte County Cultural Center of Charlotte County June 23. Members from Venice to Cape Coral were honored for their achievements in both English and Western riding styles this year for hunter jumper, performance and speed categories. An award was also given called the 40-Hour Volunteer Award, and more than $11,000 in scholarship money was given away.
