Boca bridge tolls could keep rising

Construction is proceeding on the replacement of Boca Grande Causeway's two fixed bridges. Crews removed pilings from the causeway's south bridge Thursday. How high bridge tolls will rise to pay for the construction is uncertain.

GASPARILLA ISLAND — Jim Cooper swung his SUV around quickly Thursday to take a closer look at pilings lying on a flatbed truck along Boca Grande Causeway.
“How long are those pilings?” Cooper asked an Orion Marine Construction workman.
