NORTH PORT — Fisherman’s Net Church and Revival Center, a nondenominational church that has served its congregation in Venice for the last 10 years, is opening a “plant” church in North Port, according to its minister, Chris Hanks.

A plant church is an offshoot of a parent church, designed to attract and accommodate worshippers in a new area.
